23-2-2-1 Moving the Steady Rest by Using G479
Desplazamiento de la luneta mediante G479
1) Set the door interlock key-switch in the
[NORMAL] position.
2) Close the door.
3) Turn the operation selection key-switch to
[Operation Enable] or [Operation & Edit
Enable].
4) Press the mode selection button [MDI] to
select the MDI mode.
5) Specify and execute "G479 Q2 (or S1)".
[Turret moves to a position that allows connection
with the steady rest, and then stops.]
[The steady rest is unclamped.]
[Joint pin extends from the steady rest to connect
to the turret.]
[The indicator in the [STEADY REST CLAMP]
button is extinguished.]
6) Select any of the manual operation modes.
7) Move the Z-axis to locate the steady rest at any
given position.
8) Press the [STEADY REST CLAMP] button.
[The steady rest is clamped to disconnect from
the turret.]
[The indicator in the [STEADY REST CLAMP]
button is illuminated.]

select the jog mode.

6) Press the axis feed button [−Z] or [+Z],
selecting the direction that will connect the turret
and steady rest, and move the Z-axis at the jog
feedrate.
[The turret moves to the position where it can be
connected with the steady rest, and then stops.]
[The steady rest is unclamped.]
