<Procedure>
1) Open the door.
a) Press the [Door Unlock] button.
b) Open the door.
c) Make sure the door interlock key-switch is
at [NORMAL].
2) Loosen the clamp bolt. ( )
3) Remove the protector.
a) Push the bed of the steady rest toward the
tailstock by hand and stop just before the
protector reaches its smallest size. ( )
b) Remove all the six hexagon socket head
cap screws securing the protector. ( )
c) Lift the protector with gloved hands to
remove it.
<Procedimiento>
1) Abra la puerta.
a) Pulse el botón [Desbloqueo de puerta].
b) Abra la puerta.
c) Asegúrese de la llave del interruptor de bloqueo
de puerta se encuentre en la posición
[NORMAL].
2) Afloje los pernos de sujeción. ( )
3) Retire el protector.
a) Empuje la bancada de la luneta hacia el
contrapunto y deténgala justo antes de que el
protector alcance su tamaño mínimo. ( )
b) Retire los seis tornillos de cabeza cilíndrica con
hueco hexagonal que sujetan el protector. ( )
c) Póngase unos guantes para elevar el protector y
retirarlo.
4) Remove the interference prevention SW dog.
( )
a) Remove the two bolts securing the
interference prevention SW dog.
b) Remove the interference prevention SW
dog.
5) Mount the connecting covers. ( )
a) Mount the connecting cover A on the bed
of the steady rest with three hexagon
socket head cap screws.
b) Mount the connecting covers B on the
tailstock with three hexagon socket head
cap screws.
6) Push the steady rest manually closer to the tail-
stock, and join the two connecting covers
together with the four truss head screws.

4) Retire el retén del interruptor para la prevención de
interferencias. ( )
a) Retire los dos pernos que sujetan el retén del
interruptor para la prevención de interferencias.
b) Retire el retén del interruptor para la prevención
de interferencias.
5) Instale las cubiertas de conexión. ( )
a) Instale la cubierta de conexión A en la bancada
de la luneta utilizando para ello tres tornillos de
cabeza cilíndrica con hueco hexagonal.
b) Instale la cubierta de conexión B en el
contrapunto con otros tres tornillos de cabeza
cilíndrica con hueco hexagonal.
6) Empuje manualmente la luneta hasta situarla cerca del
contrapunto y una las dos cubiertas de conexión
utilizando cuatro tornillos de cabeza reforzada.

These hexagon socket head cap screws
are used to secure the connecting
covers. Also, these screws will be
needed again to secure the protector.
Be sure not to lose them.

Estos seis tornillos de cabeza cilíndrica con
hueco hexagonal se utilizarán para sujetar las
cubiertas de conexión. Estos tornillos serán
igualmente necesarios para fijar el protector.
Es muy importante que no se pierdan los

Wear protective gloves when removing the
protector.

The protector will be needed again
when the steady rest is remounted on
the machine. Keep the protector in a
safe place.
The interference prevention SW dog will
be needed when the steady rest is used
again. Be sure to keep the interference
prevention SW dog in a safe place.

volver a montar la luneta en la máquina.
Conserve el protector en un lugar seguro.
El retén del interruptor para la prevención de

PRECAUCION
Operate the machine without tightening the clamp
bolt that secures the bed of the steady rest. If the
bed of the steady rest is secured tightly to the
machine, it may interfere with the movement of the
tailstock.
Ponga en funcionamiento la máquina sin apretar el
perno de sujeción que fija la bancada de la luneta. Si la
bancada de la luneta está fijada firmemente a la
máquina puede haber interferencias con el recorrido
del contrapunto.
