A. DSS CONSOLES—U.S. ONLY
4.4 This information is programmed for Executone
DSS Consoles that are installed on the
EKSCs. To view the available DSS Consoles, select System\Devices and Feature Codes and
double-click on
DSS Consoles.
4.5 Description and Username: At this level you can program the description and user-
name for the DSS Consoles. You can enter a new description or username for the off-node
device by selecting the appropriate field and then entering the new information in the text box.
Then press
ENTER or select another field to save the change. Descriptions can contain up to 20
characters and usernames can contain up to 10 characters. Do not use slash (/), backslash (\),
vertical slash (|), or tilde (~) characters in usernames. Do not use Control characters in descrip-
tions or usernames.
4.6 Double-click on a DSS Console to program the following:
• Associated Keyset: To determine the phone that will use this DSS Console, select the
current value for Associated Keyset and enter the station’s extension number. Or you
can do the following:
a. Right-click on the Associated Keyset value and select Change Associated Key-
set
. A window appears that asks you to select the type of device to include.
b. Select Next. The list of phones appears. (You can view them in a list by selecting
List or view details by selecting Details.)
c. Highlight the phone you want to use and then select Finish. Your selection
appears in the Associated Keyset field.
• DSS Map Group: To determine the DSS keymap that will be used by this DSS Con-
sole, select the current value and enter the new map number. Or you can do the follow-
ing:
a. Right-click on the DSS Map Group value and select Change DSS Map Group. A
window appears that asks you to select the type of device to include.
b. Select Next. The list of maps appears. (You can view them in a list by selecting
List or view details by selecting Details.)
c. Highlight the map you want to use and then select Finish. Your selection appears
in the DSS Map Group field.
