Converting a DKSC-16 to a Version 8.2 or Later Firmware IPRC
NOTE: This feature is available only in local mode.
3.49 If a slot is programmed as a DKSC-16, and there are keysets and dual single-line ports
programmed on that card, the following dialog box appears if you change that card to a device
v8.2 or later firmware IPRC. (This occurs in local mode only.)
3.50 This dialog lists all of the keyset and dual single-line ports that were programmed for
the DKSC-16. It allows you to convert these extensions to IP phones and/or IP SLAs. If you
convert a device, the circuit is programmed based on the following:
If the circuit was programmed for a keyset, it is converted to an IP device.
If the circuit was programmed for a dual single-line port, it is converted to an IP SLA.
Only one circuit, however, is used.
If the circuit was programmed as any other device (e.g., Keyset/MDPM), it is not listed
in the dialog and is automatically unequipped.
3.51 While in this dialog, you can enter the MAC address of any IP device or IP SLA that
terminates at this card. Or, you can import MAC addresses from a .txt file (see page 6-148
for more information).
3.52 After you have entered or imported the MAC addresses for the appropriate devices,
click
Convert. If the MAC address is valid, the extension is converted. If the MAC address is
invalid or if no MAC address is specified (i.e., a red X appears next to the extension), that cir-
cuit is unequipped. Circuits are equipped beginning with port 2.
3.53 If you want to manually assign the circuits, click
Unequip All. Then program the cir-
cuits as described on page 6-147.
NOTE: The first card slot does not require a keyset card (e.g., DKSC16). You can change this
slot to any card, other than a CPC or CPU card. If, however, you change the first slot to some-
thing other than a keyset card, you must reprogram the Auto Attendant in a keyset card.
