Configuration Procedure
22. CONFIGURATION PROCEDURE
22.1 The Configuration Utility allows you to change various aspects of the CP Server includ-
ing:
• Default directories, backup file counts, and other user-configured information
• Fields necessary for the proper operation of the CP Server (For example, if the system
is a quad system, then the quad configuration check box needs to be enabled.)
• IP Address of the remote chassis and Listening Socket PC
• MAC Address of the PCMA cards for ATM systems
NOTE: You must restart the call processing unit to apply any changes made to the configura-
tion except the MAC Addresses of the PCMA cards. However, because this will drop all calls in
progress, do not restart the CPU during normal business hours.
22.2 The default path to the utility is: C:\ICP\Utilities\icpconfig.exe.
22.3 The Configuration Utility automatically runs during the CP Server installation. To make
changes after the software is installed, double-click on the desktop icon. Or, select Start - Pro-
grams - Inter-Tel - Call Processing -
ICP Configuration Utility. You can then use the Configu-
ration Utility to program the necessary fields, as described below and in the following pages.
