MANUAL VERSION 11.0 – May 2008
Options Cards (OPCs)
• Relay Jack: (6-pin, 6-conductor modular jack or line jack unit) Currently used for night
transfer only (e.g., to turn on or off lights, an alarm system, or other devices). The relay,
which is activated when an attendant places the system in night mode, causes the swing
connection to move from the “normally open” to the “normally closed” position. The
OPC relay contact ratings are listed below. (See page 2-103 for additional require-
ments.)
• Music Jack: Connects a second external music-on-hold music source (cannot be used
for phone background music).
• Logic Inputs Connector: Currently reserved for future use.
4.223 Each OPC must be equipped with two special software components (kit no. 828.1279)
that allow the card to work with version 2 or later system software. If an earlier version of sys-
tem software is ever re-installed, the two new components must be removed and the old com-
ponents must be re-installed.
