SYMPTOM PROBABLE CAUSE SOLUTION
User cannot make IP net-
working calls.
The system allocates a VoIP
resource for each IP net-
working call (above what is
needed for making the sim-
ple call). If resources are
unavailable, the call will not
be completed and will camp-
on at the node.
Get more VoIP resources.
Dedicate VoIP resources for networking usage.
User cannot make IP net-
working calls.
The system allocates a VoIP
resource for each IP net-
working call (above what is
needed for making the sim-
ple call). If resources are
unavailable, the call will not
be completed and will camp-
on at the node.
Get more VoIP resources.
Dedicate VoIP resources for networking usage.
IP endpoints will not come
online.
The system pre-allocates one
VoIP resource for each IP
device. If the system has
insufficient VoIP resources,
the IP device will not be func-
tional.
Get more VoIP resources.
Dedicate VoIP resources for endpoint usage.
The IPRC's ethernet cable is
unplugged.
Verify that the ethernet cable is plugged in.
IPRC doesn't come online. By design, the system will
prevent IPRC firmware ver-
sion older than 8.1 to come
online.
Upgrade the IPRC to the latest version.
IPRC networking or 32-
Devices card can't be found
in the system.
By design, the system auto-
matically converts IPRC net-
working or 32-Devices card
to be the IP Resource Card.
The IPRC networking and
32-Devices cards are
replaced by the new IPRC
configuration.
Find the card in the same slot as the previous IP
Networking or 32-Device IPRC.
Pals do not work. Version 9.0 or later system
doesn't support pals.
Check that the appropriate license is loaded to
allow for the desired number of VoIP resources.
A call has no audio on a
node with multiple IPRCs.
An IPRC's Ethernet Cable is
unplugged.
Check that the IPRC's Ethernet cable is plugged in.
Networking data connections
between nodes do not load
balance between multiple
IPRCs.
An IPRC's ethernet cable is
unplugged.
Check that the IPRC's ethernet cable is plugged in.
A node cannot connect to a
node with multiple IPRCs.
An IPRC's ethernet cable is
unplugged on the node with
multiple IPRCs.
Check that the IPRC's ethernet cable is plugged in.
