4.171 To create a phantom device:
1. Go to System – Devices and Feature Codes – Phantom Devices.
2. Right-click in any area of the right panel and select Create Phantom.
3. In the Create Phantom Device Extension dialog box, enter the desired extension number
or scroll to the desired number and also enter the number of extensions.
4. Click OK to continue. This is the same method used to create other off-node device
types.
4.172 After you create the phantom device, double-click the device to program the following
associated fields:
• Associated Extensions (see below)
• Class of Service (see below)
• Flags (see page 6-197)
• Forwarding Paths (see page 6-197)
• Mailboxes (see page 6-197)
• Password (see page 6-197)
• Audio for Calls Camped onto this Device (see page 6-197)
• Audio for Calls Holding for this Device (see page 6-197)
• Audio for Calls Ringing this Device (see page 6-197)
Associated Extensions
4.173 Double-click on Associated Extensions to view the list of extensions used by the phan-
tom being programmed. Allows you to view the list of extensions used by the phantom being
programmed. The following Associated Extensions fields apply to phantoms:
• Attendant
• Message Center
• Alternate Message Source
• Transfer Recall Destination
• Voice Mail Extension
• Outgoing Extension
Class of Service
4.174 Each phantom device has Classes of Service (COS), which restrict or allow certain dial-
ing patterns from being dialed on a call. To program the toll restrictions double-click on
Classes of Service, you have the option of choosing Day or Night. Double-click on the desired
time period to view a list of current classes of service.
