8. VOICE PROCESSOR MAINTENANCE
8.1 This section describes the various maintenance types you can perform on the Voice Pro-
cessor.
A. MAINTENANCE FLAG PROGRAMMING
NOTE: The Maintenance folder and its sub-folders are not supported for Enterprise Messag-
ing. Automated tasks such as backups, shutdowns, and reboots are handled by the Windows
Scheduled Tasks and the OAM console for Enterprise Messaging.
8.2 The Maintenance fields allow you to enable automatic scheduling, enable diagnostics,
and schedule an automatic reboot and automatic maintenance. Maintenance fields include:
• Auto Reboot (see below)
• Auto Maintenance (see below)
• Enable Diagnostics (see page 6-408)
• Enable Auto Schedule (see page 6-409)
• Auto Schedule Start Time (see page 6-409)
8.3 A program planning sheet that lists the Maintenance fields is included on the system
software CD-ROM, Documentation folder.
8.4 You can schedule automatic maintenance and automatic reboots with the Auto Reboot
and Auto Maintenance fields. Scheduling these functions ensures that routine maintenance is
done on a regular basis and does not conflict with the customer’s busiest hours.
NOTE: Automatic maintenance and reboots also require you to set the Enable Auto Schedule
field to Yes, and set a time for the Auto Schedule Start Time field (see page 6-409).
Auto Reboot
8.5 The Auto Reboot field allows you to schedule which days of the week an automatic
shutdown and reboot are performed. Double-click
Auto Reboot to access the associated days
of the week.
Auto Maintenance
8.6 The Auto Maintenance field allows you to schedule the days of the week that automatic
maintenance is performed. Double-click
Auto Maintenance to access the associated days of
the week.
8.7 To enable the days of the week for Auto Reboot and Auto Maintenance:
1. Select the existing Value.
2. Place a check mark in the check box.
3. Press ENTER or click another field to save the change.
NOTE: To disable a day of the week, remove the check mark from the check box.
