C. RESOURCES
3.16 The Resources folder contains amperage and time slot information, as described in the
following sections.
Amps Required
3.17 This information includes the amperage for 5 and 24 volts and is provided as a refer-
ence to aid in selection of a power supply. Choose a power supply that is rated to provide more
than the indicated requirement. The amperage requirement is based on the programmed system
configuration. However, in a quad-chassis configuration, the amperage requirement for chassis
1 and 3 will always be “9.00.”
Available Time Slots
3.18 This line is a non-programmable reference that tells you how many timeslots are avail-
able for use by the system resources. The available number decreases as the following
resources are programmed:
OPC DTMF receivers
OPC Caller ID [CLIP] receivers
OPC Caller ID [CLIP] transmitters
OPC conference circuits
OPC standard speakerphone resources (Phones on DKSC-16 cards will not use OPC
speakerphone timeslots unless all resources on their cards are unavailable at the time of
the speakerphone request.)
OPC enhanced speakerphone resources for phones on DKSC and DKSC-16 circuits
DKSC, AKSC, EKSC, LSC, and SLC circuits
Single-Line Adapters (SLAs)
Digital Display Phone Modem Data Port Modules (MDPMs) and Analog and Execu-
tone
®
Phone Data Port Modules (DPMs)
NOTE: Programing T1 or E1 and DKSC-16 resources does not reduce the number of avail-
able timeslots. These cards allocate their voice channel timeslots dynamically, on an as-needed
basis, from the pool of available timeslots rather than requiring dedicated voice channels for
each card.
Time Slots Required for Non-Blocking
3.19 This line shows how many of the available timeslots are required to support the DSP
functions as programmed on all of the OPC cards combined. If this number is greater than the
“Available Time Slots” number, voice channel blocking may occur. This information is pro-
vided for reference and is not programmable.
