MANUAL VERSION 11.0 – May 2008
Single-Line Card Configuration
Single-Line Card Configuration
3.68 The ports on the card and their current configuration are shown in the list.
3.69 To equip a single port: To select the port type for a specific circuit, select the current
Port description and use the drop-down list box to scroll to the new port type. Then press
ENTER or click on another field to save the change.
3.70 To equip several ports at once: Highlight the ports you want to equip. (To highlight a
series of items, hold down
SHIFT while selecting the first and last item. To highlight two or
more that are not consecutive, hold down
CTRL while selecting the desired items.) Then right-
click and select
Batch Change Type. The following window appears. Place a dot in the port
type you want to assign and select
OK.
3.71 If the new devices require extension numbers, you will be prompted to select the first
number in the batch. The available extension numbers will be assigned sequentially to the
newly equipped ports.
3.72 If you attempt to exceed the device limit of the System, you will see an error message
telling you the operation cannot be performed.
3.73 The circuit number for the single-line set appears in the Circuit 1 column. If you want
to see the programming for this station (as performed in Devices and Feature Code program-
ming, described on page 6-156), double-click on the port number.
3.74 When the Singe Line 16 Cards (SLC-16s) are programmed in DB Programming, and
there are SLCs installed in the associated slots and vice versa, the cards are not allowed to
come online. They are, instead, logged as “Ignored” when plugged in. This change prevents a
potential one-way audio problem where the system fails to allocate the necessary voice chan-
nels for a hardware board. The problem only exists for hardware boards that do not match the
DB Programming board type.
