5. STATION INSTRUMENTS
5.1 A variety of station instruments can be used on the Inter-Tel system. The combination
of station instruments depends on the number and type of station cards installed.
5.2 At least one display phone should be installed to provide an administrator the capability
to receive system alarm messages, program system data, and receive unsupervised CO recalls.
When the system is in the default configuration, circuit 01.01.01 is designated as a phone, an
administrator, and the primary attendant.
NOTE: Because most systems is installed with a variety of station and trunk cards and a vari-
ety of station instruments, the maximum station and trunk capacities listed in this manual is
rarely reached.
A. DIGITAL PHONES
5.3 The following digital phone models can be installed on the Inter-Tel system:
• Axxess Basic Digital Phones
• Eclipse Basic Digital Phones
• Standard Display Phones
• Associate Display Phones
• Executive Display Phones
• Professional Display Phones
• Models 8500, 8520, and 8560
NOTE: Eclipse Basic Digital, Associate Display, and Professional Display Phones are not sup-
ported in Europe.

buttons, speed-dial buttons, call buttons, and station programmable buttons shown in the draw-
ings are as they appear when the system is in the default configuration.

5.6 The approximate dimensions of the Axxess Basic, Standard Display, and Executive

These are proprietary phones and are to be used only with Inter-Tel systems. Also, version
8.0 or later software is required to support the Eclipse Basic Digital, Professional Display,
and Associate Display Phones.
