MANUAL VERSION 11.0 – May 2008
Number of Licenses
D. NUMBER OF LICENSES
2.8 The system stores up to five different licenses, each of which is unique based on the
system version. For example, only one v8.0 software license can be stored on the CPC (or CP
Server). If a new license that matches the version number of an existing license is loaded, the
new license automatically overwrites the existing license.
2.9 In addition, if five licenses are currently stored and a sixth license is saved, the oldest
license, based on the date and time the license was created, is overwritten. If, however, the old-
est license is currently in use, the next oldest license is overwritten. In addition, because each
license is unique, only one license for each version number can be stored at any time.
3. SYSTEM MANAGER SUPPORT
3.1 Versions 8.2 and later support System Manager, which is a server-based application that
centralizes the management functions of the Axxess system and its peripheral products. To
interface with System Manager:
• Call Processing requires a System Manager agent account for each node that connects
to the System Manager server.
• DB Programming version 8.2 or later must be installed on the PC running System Man-
ager Server.
• You must upload the Certification Authority (CA) certificate for System Manager. If
you do not upload the CA certificate, you cannot access DB Programming through the
System Manager Web interface.
• You must configure DB Programming to connect to System Manager.
3.2 System Manager’s performance can suffer when connected to a network that includes
40 or more nodes. The performance degradation occurs when several systems send large
amounts of Message Print data to System Manager. In an effort to eliminate this, if the system
administrator plans on connecting 63 nodes or more to System Manager, a newer version of
System Manager is needed. This new version supports the ability to enable or disable incoming
Message Print messages.
3.3 For details about agent accounts and DB Programming requirements, see the System
Manager Installation Manual (document part no. 835.2743).
