System Feature Capacities
OVERVIEW
1
B. SYSTEM FEATURE CAPACITIES
7.5 Some features have maximum capacities that are dependent on the availability of sys-
tem channels and/or circuits. Features with such capacities are listed in the following table.
The numbers listed under the heading labeled “dual” are for two-chassis (16-slot) systems; the
numbers listed under the heading “CPS512” are for four-chassis (32-slot) systems; the numbers
listed under “CPS1024” are for systems equipped with a Call Processing (CP) Server and that
are licensed for 1024 devices; and the numbers under “ATM” are for an eight-chassis, ATM-
based system. (See “Appendix C — CP Server” on page C-1 for details about the CP Server.)
NOTE: As of version 8.0, 512 and higher systems require a CP Server. The number of
devices supported on these systems, however, is determined by the software license. For
example, if using a 512CPS software license with a CP Server, the number of devices available
is limited to 512. To support the full capacity of a CP Server, a 1024CPS license is required.
Versions prior to 8.0 do not use a software license.
