MANUAL VERSION 11.0 – May 2008
Stations on the Local Node
NOTE: If using the DB Converter program to convert to a 7.0 or later system, the global Emer-
gency Extension (System\Numbering Plan\Emergency\Emergency Extension) is automatically
assigned as each station’s Emergency Extension.
• Outgoing Extension: Determine which trunk access (trunk, trunk group, or ARS) this
station will use when an idle CALL button or the OUTGOING button is pressed or
when a system speed-dial number is selected for dialing before a trunk is selected.
Defaults to Trunk Group 1 (92001). Stations cannot have direct outgoing access to
trunks on other nodes; they must use ARS to access off-node trunks.
• Transfer Recall Destination: The transfer recall destination will receive this station’s
transfer recalls. This can be a device located on another node if it is programmed as an
off-node device (see page 6-198).
• Voice Mail: This is the voice mail destination that this station will use for forwarding
calls to voice mail. If this field is not programmed for an Executive Display, Profes-
sional Display, or Model 8560 Phone, the phone will not have the voice mail-related
options on the feature button menu display.
4.208 To change the assignment of one of the Associated Stations, use one of the following
methods:
Method A
1. Select the current Value and enter the new value in the text box.
2. Press ENTER. A screen appears showing you what is associated with the number you
entered.
3. Select OK. The new number appears in the field.
Method B
1. Right-click on the existing value. An option box appears.
2. Select Change. A window appears that asks you to select the type of device to include.
3. Select device type and then select Next. The list of devices appears. (You can view
them in a list by selecting the List button or view details by selecting the Details but-
ton.)
4. Highlight the device you want to assign as the associated extension and then select Fin-
ish
. Your selection appears in the appropriate field.
NOTE: If the system administrator adds or changes ring-in devices using the administrator’s
phone, the system automatically changes the ring-in type to Multiple (even when only one
device is selected). This occurs because the administrator can add multiple devices, which is
prevented if the ring-in type is Single.
