Stations on the Local Node
Day and Night Classes of Service
4.224 Each station has Classes of Service (COS) which restrict or allow certain dialing pat-
terns from being dialed on a call. See page 6-281 for a complete explanation of the Classes of
Service. To program the toll restrictions double-click on
Classes of Service, you have the
option of choosing
Day or Night. Double-click on the desired time period to view a list of cur-
rent classes of service.
4.225 To add a class of service:
1. Right-click in the window and select Add To List.
2. A window appears that allows you to select the types of toll restrictions you want to
program. Select
ARS Only & Deny Area/Office and/or Classes of service and then
select
Next.
3. Another window appears that shows you a list of available classes of service. (You can
view them in a list by selecting the List button or view details by selecting the Details
button.)
4. Highlight the desired class(es) of service and then select Add Items. The selected
classes of service appear in the list. Select
Finish to exit.
5. (U.S. only) If you selected Deny Area/Office class of service, the station must also be
assigned to a User Group. To change the user group, right-click on
User Group and
select
Change User Group. In the first window that appears, select User Groups and
then
Next. In the next window, select the desired user group and then select Finish to
exit and save the change.
4.226 To delete one or more class of service: Highlight the item(s). Then right-click and
select
Remove Selected Items.
NOTE: To highlight a series of items, hold down SHIFT while selecting the first and last item.
To highlight two or more that are not consecutive, hold down CTRL while selecting the desired
items.
DSS Consoles
4.227 (Executone phones only) You can associate up to three DSS Consoles with Executone
phones. Double-click on DSS Consoles to view the current DSS Console list.
4.228 To add DSS Consoles:
1. Right-click anywhere in the right side of the window. An option box appears.
2. Select Add To DSS Consoles List. A window appears that asks you to select the type
of device to include.
3. Select Next. A list appears. (You can view them in a list by selecting List or view
details by selecting
Details.)
NOTE: To highlight a series of items, hold down SHIFT while selecting the first and last
items you want. To highlight two or more items that are not consecutive, hold down
CTRL while selecting the desired items.
