Forwarding Paths
4.233 See FEATURES, page 5-223 for more details on system forwarding. Each station can
have up to three forwarding paths and there can be 200 different programmed paths in the sys-
tem, numbered 001-200. Path 000 (No Forwarding Path) can be assigned to disable system for-
warding for the station. Add or remove forwarding path as follows:
4.234 To add a forwarding path:
1. Right-click anywhere in the right side of the window. An option box appears.
2. Select Add To Forwarding Paths List. A window appears that asks you to select the
type of device to include.
3. Select Forwarding Paths and then select Next. A list appears. (You can view them in a
list by selecting the List button or view details by selecting the Details button.)
NOTE: To highlight a series of items, hold down SHIFT while selecting the first and last
items you want. To highlight two or more items that are not consecutive, hold down
CTRL while selecting the desired items.

Highlight the appropriate paths and then select Add Items. When you have added all
the paths you want select
Finish. Your selections appear in the list.
4.235 To delete a path: To delete one or more path from the list, highlight them and then
right-click. Select
Remove Selected Items.
4.236 To program a specific Forwarding Path: Double-click on the forwarding path to view
the following options:
• Forwarding Path: This information is shown for reference. If you would like to view
the programming for the path, double-click on
Forwarding Paths to jump to Station-
Related programming.
• Ring Principal Once: If the system-forwarded station is a phone and the user wants to
be notified each time a call is sent to the system forwarding path, this option can be
enabled. The station user will hear a single ring tone each time a call is system for-
warded and display phone will show CALL SENT TO FORWARD PATH. (In the
default state, this is disabled.) Enable this flag by selecting the current Value and then
selecting the check box to place a check in it. Then press
ENTER or select another field
to save the change. (To remove the check and disable the flag, select the check box
again.)
• Station Conditions (Busy, DND, No Answer, and Immediate): The station can be
programmed to use the path to forward calls when the station condition is busy, in do-
not-disturb, and/or no answer. Or, calls can be forwarded immediately after they are
received at the station. (In the default state, all but Immediate are selected.) Determine
which station conditions will cause the calls to follow the forwarding path and enable
them. Note that if any condition other than Immediate is selected, Immediate will
appear dimmed and cannot be selected. To enable a flag select the current Value and
then select the check box to place a check in it. Then press
ENTER or select another
field to save the change. (To remove the check and disable the flag, select the check box
again.)
