MANUAL VERSION 11.0 – May 2008
SMDR
PROGRAMMING
6
3. Select None, Remote Node, or Serial Port (local) and then select Next. The list of
ports or nodes appears. (You can view them in a list by selecting the List button or view
details by selecting the Details button.)
4. Highlight the desired port and then select Finish. Your selection appears in the appro-
priate port field.
NOTE: Do not connect a Voice Processor to a serial port that is programmed for SMDR (such
as PP100, PP101, etc.). This may cause the serial port to lock up and the Voice Processor will
not be connected to the port.
8.40 SMDR Output Active: To activate the SMDR reporting feature, enable the SMDR
Output Active flag. To enable the flag, select the current Value and then select the check box to
place a check in it. Then press
ENTER or select another field to save the change. (To remove
the check and disable the flag, select the check box again.)
8.41 Output to System Manager: If disabled, SMDR information is not available to System
Manager users. If enabled, System Manager users can run call reports for this node. To enable
the flag, select the current Value and then select the check box to place a check in it. Then
press
ENTER or select another field to save the change. (To remove the check and disable the
flag, select the check box again.)
8.42 Display Elapsed Time in Seconds: To allow SMDR to give a more accurate represen-
tation of elapsed time, an option can be enabled that records the elapsed time of calls in sec-
onds instead of minutes. For calls up to 999999 seconds long, the ELAPSED TIME field will
show “S=XXXXXX” (XXXXXX represents the number of seconds). For calls lasting longer
than 999999 seconds, ELAPSED TIME will show “HH:MM” (hours and minutes rounded up
to the nearest minute). If you want to have call durations of fewer than 999999 seconds dis-
played in seconds, enable this flag by selecting the current Value and then selecting the check
box to place a check in it. Then press
ENTER or select another field to save the change. (To
remove the check and disable the flag, select the check box again.)
8.43 Display “O/I” for Operator and International Calls: If enabled, operator and inter-
national calls are displayed in SMDR as one entry under the call-type abbreviation “O/I.” (This
is the functionality in software versions 6.0 and earlier.) If disabled, operator and international
calls are displayed separately in SMDR: operator calls under “OP,” and international calls
under “INT.” By default, this is enabled. To disable this flag, select the current Value and then
select the check box to place a check in it. Then press
ENTER or select another field to save
the change. (To enable the flag, select the check box again.)
NOTE: If using Inside Track, this flag must be enabled.
8.44 Display Redirected Station: A station that transfers or manually forwards a call to the
public network can be recorded in the SMDR report. To enable this option, go to System\Main-
tenance\SMDR, and select
Display Redirected Station. Then, set the value to Yes. This flag is
disabled by default. Then press
ENTER or select another field to save the change. (To remove
the check and disable the flag, select the check box again.)
NOTE: To display redirected information for trunk-to-trunk calls, add the trunks and stations to
the SMDR list. If the trunks and stations are not listed, the stations that transfer or manually for-
ward CO calls will not be recorded in the SMDR report for redirected calls.
