Programming Facility Groups
9.75 To add to the list above an existing dial rule: Highlight the dial rule below the loca-
tion where you want the new entry and then right-click. An option box appears.
1. Select Add To Dial Rules List. A window appears that asks you to select the type of
device to include.
2. Select Dial Rules and then select Next. The list of dial rules appears. (You can view
them in a list by selecting the List button or view details by selecting the Details but-
ton.)
NOTE: To highlight a series of items, hold down SHIFT while selecting the first and last
item you want. To highlight two or more items that are not consecutive, hold down
CTRL while selecting the desired items.

Highlight the dial rule(s) you want to add and then select Add Items. (Note that if you
select more than one, they will be placed in the list in numerical order, not in the order
you select them. To keep the list in the proper order, you may have to add dial rules one
at a time.) When you have added all the dial rules you need, select
Finish. Your selec-
tions appear in the list.
4. If you want to see the programming for a specific dial rule, double-click on its number
to jump to its programming area.
9.76 To move a dial rule to another location in the list: Drag and drop the dial rule to the
new position. Or, highlight the dial rule to move and press
CTRL + the up/down arrow to move
the dial rule up or down in the list.
9.77 To delete a dial rule from the list: To delete one or more dial rule from the list, high-
light them and then right-click. Select
Remove Selected Items.
9.78 Trunk Groups/Nodes: Trunk groups and nodes must be placed in the list in the order
that they should be selected. Make sure that the trunk groups or nodes being used in the facility
group contain the proper type of trunks (local, FX, WATS, long distance, etc.) for the calls that
will be routed. Trunk group toll restrictions will not apply when ARS is used; only station toll
restrictions are checked. To determine the trunk groups and/or nodes that will be used by this
facility group, double-click on
Trunk Groups/Nodes. The current list of trunks/nodes, if any,
appears. You can then do the following:
9.79 To add trunk groups or nodes to the facility group: Note that this is an ordered list.
Place the trunks and nodes in the list in the order you want them to be used.
1. To add to the bottom of the list: Do not highlight any existing entry and right-click
anywhere in the right side of the window. An option box appears.
2. To add to the list above an existing device: Highlight the entry below the location
where you want the new entry and then right-click. An option box appears.
3. Select Add To Trunk Groups/Nodes List. A window appears that asks you to select the
type of device to include.
4. Select CO Trunk Group and/or Remote Node and then select Next. The list of avail-
able devices appears. (You can view them in a list by selecting the List button or view
details by selecting the Details button.)
