MANUAL VERSION 11.0 May 2008
Circuit Card LEDs
Internet Protocol
Resource Card
(IPRC)
Card On-Line Lit green to show functional readiness (e.g., the card is communicat-
ing properly with the rest of the system). If unlit, check for improper
connection; if still unlit, try another card or another card slot.
Circuit Busy Lit yellow to indicate that at least one of the 16 (32 with a daughter
card) VoIP channels is busy. For IPRCs programmed for networking,
if this LED is lit, removing the card will drop the call(s) active on the
circuit(s).
NOTE: In software v9.0 and later, the Circuit Busy LED will only light
when the VoIP resources are in use. For IP devices, the LED is lit
when an endpoint is using VoIP resources. For IP networking calls,
the LED is lit when a networking call is in progress. The Circuit Busy
LED turns off immediately when no VoIP resources are in use.
Make Busy Lit yellow to indicate the current state of the Make-Busy switch. This
LED remains lit while the button is pressed but does not change the
state of the ports on the card.
Halted Lit red to indicate that the card is not functioning due to a software or
hardware error. The card will not function properly; return the card for
repair.
Duplex Lit green to indicate that the network connection is running in full-
duplex mode.
Collision Lit yellow to indicate that the network connection has experienced a
collision while in half-duplex mode.
100Base-T Lit green to indicate that the network connection is operating at a
speed of 100 Mbps.
Link (RJ45) Lit green to indicate a valid network connection.
XMT (RJ45) Lit green to indicate that the card is transmitting data to the network.
Trunk Cards (LSC or
LGC)
Card On-Line Lit green to show functional readiness (e.g., the card is communicat-
ing properly with the rest of the system). If unlit, check for improper
connection; if still unlit, try another card or another card slot.
Circuit Busy Lit yellow to indicate that at least one of the four circuits (eight if a
daughter card is attached) is busy (e.g., connected to a voice chan-
nel). Unlit when all the circuits are idle.
