4. RECOMMENDED SPARE PARTS
4.1 Inter-Tel, Inc. is dedicated to providing the best possible customer service. To eliminate
interruption of service to our customers’ business operations, Inter-Tel, Inc. recommends that
Inter-Tel dealers/branches maintain an inventory of spare parts.
4.2 Critical components of your installed based should be kept in inventory to minimize the
outage for our customers. Because each of the customer installations is different, identifying a
standard list of spare parts is unreasonable. Inter-Tel’s recommendation is that you evaluate
your installed customer base and identify the critical components that in the event of failure
would result in a significant loss of business operations. These components should be consid-
ered your spare parts inventory.
4.3 The spare parts inventory should be maintained and, in some cases, increased when new
customers are sold equipment. Keep in mind that hardware, firmware, and software revisions
change and could affect the revision level of your inventory.
