MANUAL VERSION 11.0 May 2008
Analog Keyset Card (AKSC) and Executone Keyset Card (EKSC)
INSTALLATION
3
G. ANALOG KEYSET CARD (AKSC) AND EXECUTONE KEYSET CARD (EKSC)
10.23 Install the AKSCs/EKSCs as described below. See Figure 3-56 on page 3-116 for an
illustration.
NOTE: When inserting or removing the CPU Card, CPC, or Network Clock Card, the system
power must be turned off to prevent damage to the card. All other cards can be inserted or
removed with power on.
1.
Make sure that all components on the cards are seated securely in their sockets and that
no pins are bent.
2. Install the AKSCs/EKSCs one at a time in the slots to be used for analog phone connec-
tions. The component sides of the cards must face right. Any type of card may be
installed in any of the first seven slots (in any chassis), and slots may be skipped, if
desired.
NOTE: If, when first powered up, the actual cards installed do not exactly match the
default configuration, adjustments must be made in DB Programming. Circuit 1.1.1 (a
DKSC circuit) is preset as an administrator and as the primary attendant. If changing
card types (e.g., changing from an AKSC or EKSC to an LSC), see the programming
procedures on page 6-114 and to the information on pages 3-16 and 3-17.
CAUTION
Do not install an analog phone on a Digital Keyset Card, or vice versa. Installing a phone on
the wrong type of station card can damage both the phone and the card.
