Equip the BRI Cards
10.52 Both types of BRI cards are equipped in DB Programming under System\Cabinets.
Select the card slot and then choose either Basic Rate S/T Interface or Basic Rate U Interface
from the drop-down list of card types. Either card type can be equipped in any programmable
slot. If the country chosen for the system installation does not support U interface from the
Central Office, the Basic Rate U Interface option does not appear on the drop-down list of card
types. At this time, only North American systems support U interface. If the card is installed in
a previously unused slot, the system automatically recognizes the card type and equip the slot
accordingly if DB Programming is not active. If a DB Programming session is active, the card
must be equipped in DB Programming.
