MANUAL VERSION 11.0 May 2008
ASX-200BX
INSTALLATION
3
11.18 To connect the ASX-200BX switch to the PCMA cards and the CP Server:
1. Connect CAT5 or MMF cables to the appropriate PCMA cards and to the ATM switch
connectors. Connect each equipment chassis to a different interface on the ATM switch
if possible.
2. Connect a CAT5 or MMF cable to the ATM Adapter card on the CP Server and to the
ATM switch connector. If using a redundant system, connect each CP Server to a differ-
ent interface on the ATM switch.
NOTE: The CP Server is responsible for ensuring the chassis in an ATM system are running
compatible operating system (OS) or CP versions. When the CP Server first signs on to a chas-
sis, the chassis sends a version response. If the version is not compatible, the CP Server does
not allow that particular CPU to come online, and message print M5134 is generated.
