NOTE: Those features marked with an asterisk (*) require additional equipment.
A. SYSTEM FEATURES
Hardware and General System Features
• Wide variety of software configurations
• System open architecture interface (OAI) for connecting to an Attendant Console or for
communicating with an external computer (e.g., for specialized ACD applications)
• Desktop interface for connecting to Desktop OAI applications
• Flexible station instrument configuration and numbering plan for local and network
devices
• RS232 connectors on the Central Processing Unit (CPU) card, Call Processing Card
(CPC), and the Options Card (OPC) for connecting optional SMDR/error message out-
put devices, a Voice processing PC, or an external PC for programming
NOTE: The system can have a maximum of 32 RS232 ports used for system services.
This includes the RS232 ports on the CPU card, CPC, Options Card(s), and PC Data
Port Modules. If a Voice Processing PC is installed, at least one of the 32 RS232 ports
must be dedicated to the PC.
• Database battery back-up with voltage test points
• Adjustable bit rates for on-site programming and the optional SMDR/error message
output devices (300, 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, and 38400 bps, depending on the
selected port)
• Variable system timers
• Optional Call Processing (CP) Server (a Windows NT- or 2000-based server that com-
municates with the phone system via the ATM Switch or a 10Base-T Ethernet connec-
tion via a cross-connect Ethernet cable to a CPU020 card with an Ethernet Adapter
Card (EAC) with or without redundancy
NOTE: An ATM-based system requires the CP Server with Windows 2000 installed.
• Optional modem kit
• Optional PC wall-mount shelf (accommodates most PC models)
• Optional station message detail recording (SMDR) and/or error message recording out-
put device(s)
• Power failure transfer relay on the CPU card and CPC
• Night transfer relay on the Options Card
