Display Caller ID Name and Number Enhancement
Display Caller ID Name and Number Enhancement
10.83 Prior to v10.0, the system allowed the endpoint to display only the incoming CO
caller’s name or number on the first line and the call time elapsed on the second line. There is a
station flag named “Display Outside Party Name” that the endpoint user could access to toggle
between showing the caller’s name or number on the first line of the display.
10.84 System software 10.0 or later includes a system flag named “Display Caller ID Name
and Number” in DB Programming, which allows you to adjust the display on an endpoint for
an incoming CO call to always show caller ID name and number (see page 6-260). When this
flag is enabled, the endpoint user does not see the elapsed call timer that shows the duration of
the call. When this flag is enabled, the outside caller’s name appears on the first line and the
caller’s number appears on the second line of the endpoint display. The following example
shows how the display appears when this flag is disabled and when it is enabled.
