Sample #1: This is an example of a DID routing table. (An actual DID table would have more than four entries;
this is an abbreviated list.) Each DID number is identified by the three digits that are sent by the central office (000-
003). The base number of the DID numbers is 9619. Therefore, the names of each of the patterns combine the base
number and the additional three digits to form the complete number for display (961-9000 to 961-9003).
Sample #2: This is an ANI table for various area codes. If the incoming ANI information begins with one of the
indicated area codes, it is routed to the designated destination and the display shows the state where the call was
placed.
