Initial Programming Guidelines
6. Perform the remaining programming necessary to meet the customer’s needs. This may
include (but is not limited to) the following:
• Voice Processor: Program other Voice Processor applications (including call rout-
ing and Fax-On-Demand), extension IDs, group lists, mailboxes, Voice Processor
options, timers, custom recordings, and system information. (See page 6-104.)
• IP Private Networking: Program node IP connection groups and IP connections
if using an IPRC for private networking. (See page 6-172.)
• Devices: Program individual hunt groups, page ports, nodes, stations, off-node
devices, serial ports, trunk groups, node trunk groups, and trunks. (See page 6-
156.)
• System-Wide Flags: Program system flags to enable the necessary features. (See
page 6-258.) Note that many installations will want to have the Handsfree
Announce On System Forward Transfer flag disabled (it is enabled by default).
• ACD Hunt Group Agent IDs: If needed, program the Agent IDs used in ACD
hunt groups. (See page 6-263.)
• Maintenance: Program call cost, freeze zones, message print, and SMDR infor-
mation. (See page 6-268.)
• Numbering Plan: Program toll restriction area flags, emergency number informa-
tion, toll strings, classes of service, and user groups (user groups are not applica-
ble to European systems). Also set up ARS route groups, dial rules, and facility
groups. (See page 6-271.)
• Station-Related Information: Program account codes, attendants, station flags,
button assignments, message centers, do-not-disturb and reminder messages, pri-
mary attendants, system forwarding paths, and system speed dial. (See page 6-
301.)
• Trunk Call Routing Tables: Program call routing tables. (See page 6-319.)
• System Timers: Program system timers, as needed. (See page 6-329.)
7. When you have finished programming, save your database. (See page 6-65.)
