Call Processing (CP) Server
4.79 The EAC supports only 10Base-T and is connected to the PC via an industry-standard
category 5 crossed patch cable (U.S. part no. 813.1724). The cable is 14 feet [4.2 meters] in
length allowing some freedom of placement of the server. (See next page for a pinout of the
cable.) Per IEEE 802.3 10Base-T specification, this cable can be up to 328 feet [100 meters]
long.
4.80 A cable is provided with the CP Server. For CP Servers with an OC-3 ATM adapter
card, an MMF cable is provided. For standard CP Servers or for those with a UTP5 ATM
Adapter card, a 14-foot [4.2-meter] 10base-T CAT5 Cross-Connect cable is supplied with the
CP Server PC.
4.81 The 10Base-T CAT5 Cross-Connect cable has an 8-pin/8-conductor modular connector
on each end. However, if you need a longer cable, make sure the pinout is as follows:
4.82 The memory map PALs for both the dual and quad configurations have been combined
into a single memory map PAL (in socket U41). The U.S. part number for this PAL is
827.8967.
