One-Way Incoming Only
4.309 Certain types of trunks, such as incoming WATS, need to be marked as “incoming-
only” so that the system will recognize the lines during power-up and/or testing. (This is
because, on these types of lines, battery is not returned when the line is seized and the system
cannot power up the trunk unless this option is enabled.) If the trunk group contains incoming-
only lines, enable this flag by selecting the current Value and then selecting the check box to
place a check in it. Then press
ENTER or select another field to save the change. (To remove
the check and disable the flag, select the check box again.). When you place the check mark in
the check box, the system checks whether any stations have outgoing access for that trunk
group. If there are stations with outgoing access, a window appears that asks if you want to
delete the outgoing-access assignments for those stations. Select
Yes to remove the outgoing-
access assignments, or select
No to allow outgoing access.
4.310 Echo Trunk Number: When this flag is enabled, the system will echo the trunk number,
DNIS, DID [DDI in Europe], etc., if the call is being routed out a trunk. The base digits are
combined with the collected trunk number to create an outside number. If the trunk rings into
another trunk in the system via individual trunk, trunk group, or ARS, the trunk number is
dialed as the outgoing number.
NOTE: Note that if the collected trunk number is incomplete or invalid, the collected digits are
not used for the outside number, to avoid the system from dialing the wrong outside number.
