MANUAL VERSION 11.0 – May 2008
Mailbox Programming
PROGRAMMING
6
Message Notification Station
4.120 (Not programmable for associated mailboxes.) Each mailbox has a station that will
receive message notification whenever the mailbox receives a message. This is usually the
same number as the mailbox. However, when a mailbox is shared by several stations, or
belongs to a hunt group pilot number, a specific station must be designated to receive the mes-
sage notification. If non-associated mailboxes are programmed, you must disable the Validate
Voice Mailbox Number feature (see System Flags on page 6-258) to allow station users to dial
the non-associated mailbox numbers. To determine the station that will receive message notifi-
cations, use one of the following methods:
Method A
1. Select the current Value and enter the new value in the text box.
2. Press ENTER. A screen appears showing you what is associated with the number you
entered.
3. Select OK. The new number appears in the field.
Method B
1. Right-click on the existing extension number. An option box appears.
2. Select Message Notification Station. A window appears that asks you to select the
type of device to include.
3. Select the type of device and then select Next. The list of devices appears. (You can
view them in a list by selecting the List button or view details by selecting the Details
button.)
4. Highlight the appropriate station and then select Finish. Your selection appears in the
Message notification Station field.
Time Zone
4.121 If the mailbox is located in a different time zone than the Voice Processing Unit, you
will want to set the Time Zone field to match its location. This will allow the timestamp on the
voice mail messages to reflect the correct time for that mailbox’s location. To set the time
zone, select the drop-down list box and scroll to the desired setting. Then press
ENTER or click
on another field to save your change.
Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) Setting
4.122 (EM systems only) Determines whether the system will use the ASR Enabled setting in
the current folder level or in the next folder level. For details about this field, see page 6-348.
Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) Enabled
4.123 (EM systems only) Determines whether or not ASR is enabled for the current folder
(and any subfolders or parent folders based on the ASR Setting field). If enabled, the system,
application, or mailbox supports voice recognition for accessing that particular feature. If dis-
abled, the system, application, or mailbox will not support voice recognition. For details about
this field, see page 6-348.
NOTE: The ASR Enabled field is ignored (that is, displays a red “x”) if the ASR Setting is set
to Delegated, Ignored, or Ignored and Delegated.
