Unable to access desired
Voice Processing application
(intercom callers hear reorder
tones and see a XXXXX IS
UNPLUGGED display; out-
side callers are rerouted to
the primary attendant)
The Voice Processing PC
power switch is off, the
cabling between the system
and the PC is disconnected
or defective, or the Voice
Processing PC is inoperative
Check to make sure the Voice Processing PC
power switch is on, and check the cabling connect-
ing the system to the PC.
Voice Processing applications
are slow (e.g., voice prompts
are slow and display mes-
sages are delayed)
The Voice Processing PC's
high-speed (turbo) processor
mode is turned off
For optimal performance, the Voice Processing PC
is configured with the high-speed (turbo) mode
always enabled. Do not disable the turbo mode
setting.
Voice Processing PC is pro-
grammed with 12-32 voice
channels, but no more than
eight calls at a time are
accepted
The OPC is not programmed
to have a Voice Processing
Unit connection
Configure the OPC to have a Voice Processing
Unit connection. See PROGRAMMING, page 6-
117.
The number of programmed
voice channels is less than
the available hardware
Make sure the appropriate time slot group (number
of Voice Processing voice channels) is assigned to
each Voice Processing application. See PRO-
GRAMMING, page 6-354.
Loose/defective cabling
between the Voice Process-
ing Unit AIC and the chassis
OPC
Check the AIC-to-OPC cabling.
AIC in slave chassis In tri-/quad-chassis installations, make sure the
OPC is installed in the master dual-chassis.
When power is turned on, the
Voice Processing PC does
not boot up properly
Diskette in floppy drive Ensure that the PC is not trying to boot off a dis-
kette in the floppy drive.
The two-pin AIC-to-reset
switch cable is not connected
properly
Be sure that pin 1 marked on each end of the
cable matches pin 1 on the AIC and PC Mother
board. (If connected incorrectly, the PC will be
reset continuously or will not boot up at all.)
The DB-25 modular adapter
(supplied with the Voice Pro-
cessing PC) is still connected
to the COM2 serial port on
the PC
Remove the DB-25 modular adapter when not
being used
The Voice Processing PC's
high-speed (turbo) processor
mode is turned off
The Voice Processing PC boots up much faster in
turbo mode. Before shipping, the PC is configured
with the high-speed (turbo) mode always enabled.
Do not disable the turbo mode setting.
