6. Select the desired database device limit (256, 512, 1024, or ATM). This value is deter-
mined by the card and the software flashed on the card. Because an Inter-Tel CP Server
can either be a 256 or 512, you must configure the software for the correct size. The
default is 512.
NOTE: When prompted to install Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP),
select No unless you have read the information starting on page C-40. You can install
SNMP later if necessary.

Reboot the PC, and log into Windows.

26.1 A 14-foot 10 Base-T CAT5 Cross-Connect cable is supplied with the CP Server PC.
However, if you need a longer cable, make sure that the pinout is as follows.
26.2 The cable has an 8-pin/8-conductor modular connector on each end.
NOTE: Additional cables are provided for ATM systems based on the type of connector (UTP5
or OC-30) used.
CAUTION
When the software is installed or upgraded, the Software Watchdog service is set for
“manual” startup by default. It is very important for you to change the startup type to “auto-
matic” after the new software is installed and is working properly.
