3. 99 NODES VALIDATION TEST
3.1 The following validation checklist allows you to evaluate the validity of the 99 nodes
support on the system network. Perform the test after each of the new nodes is added to each
site For complete information about 99 nodes support, see page 1-12.
4. CPS UPGRADE
4.1 Axxess v11.0 now supports the Call Processing Server on Windows Server 2003. Not
all hardware configurations can be upgraded to Windows Server 2003. Axxess v11.0 continues
to support Windows 2000 Professional OS for the CPS. Table E-2 shows the upgrade method
to Windows Server 2003.
Table E-1. 99 Nodes Validation Checklist
Step description
1 Perform IC calls between Nodes 1, 2, 63, 64,75, and 99.
2 Make local calls out T1, analog, or IP Gateway if appropriate.
3 Make 911 calls to 911 operator.
4 Place and receive calls to voicemail.
5 Place calls to appropriate STAR applications or location specific applica-
tions as needed.
6 Setup a conference call between same nodes as IC in step 1.
7 Confirm that there is two-way audio and DTMF on all calls made
8 Create an MSN hotmail account for Instant Message Network for com-
munications while the nodes are converted. Each member is identified
by “
Node#_Location_First Name and Last Name Initial
of person doing upgrade_Extension.” For example,
N02_chan_steves_29827@hotmail.com.

a. You must purchase a software upgrade kit (non-ATM part no. 828.1754, ATM part no. 828.1755), follow
the upgrade instructions (835.3211) to reimage the existing CPS with Windows Server 2003, and then
install the Axxess system software.
b. You must purchase a new ATM compatible CPS with Windows Server 2003 (part no. 550.5464), follow the
hardware upgrade instructions (835.3228) to remove the ATM Adapter Card and cables from the existing
CPS to install into the newly purchased CPS, and then install the Axxess system software.
c. The existing CPS does not support Windows Server 2003. You must purchase a new non-ATM CPS with
Windows Server 2003, and then install the Axxess system software.
