n. Lift and replace the handset. The phone rings momentarily, and it takes approxi-
mately five seconds for the phone to return to normal operation. Display phones
show TESTNG COMPLETED! for several seconds.)
o. Replace the phone if faulty.
NOTE: If the phone watchdog timer fails, the TESTING COMPLETED! display is
followed by a WATCHDOG ERROR display and eight short bursts of ring tone.
Replace the defective phone.

The phone ring tone can be changed by performing the steps described in the FEA-
TURES section on page 5-145.
7. If necessary, replace the phone’s paper template with one labeled to match the pro-
grammed feature buttons.
NOTE: The Model 8000 digital phones allow you to adjust the viewing angle. If you position the
phone’s viewing angle to 60° or greater, flip the handset hanger to the horizontal position.
