Internet Protocol Resources Card
3.148 To program the circuits for MGCP endpoints:
1. Under System\Cabinets\Internet Protocol Resource Card, expand the Devices folder.
2. Highlight the circuits to program, right-click, and select Batch Change Type.
3. Select MGCP Endpoint and click OK.
NOTE: If there is not an MGCP gateway currently programmed on the card, an error
message appears. Program at least one circuit to be an MGCP Gateway and Endpoint
before attempting to program additional endpoints.
4.
Select the starting extension for the endpoints.
5. Click an endpoint in the list and enter an endpoint name, up to 20 characters. Inter-Tel
recommends that you use a naming convention to avoid resolution problems. By
default, the endpoints are named ACgwX, where X is a number (0-3) that identifies the
port. For example, the endpoint in the first port is ACgw0; the endpoint in the second
port is ACgw1; etc. (Hostnames are case-sensitive.)
NOTE: The endpoint names entered in DB Programming must match those pro-
grammed in the gateway configuration. For details, refer to the Inter-Tel Axxess/5000
Quintum SIP Gateway Installation Manual (document part no. 835.3123) or the Inter-Tel
Axxess/5000 AudioCodes MP-114 SIP Gateway Installation Manual (document part no.
835.3202).
6.
Click OK to accept the name.
7. Select the extension for the MGCP gateway that the endpoints will use and click OK.
