MANUAL VERSION 11.0 – May 2008
Internet Protocol Resources Card
PROGRAMMING
6
3.150 Moving IP Endpoints: You can select IP Endpoints from one Devices folder and move
them to another, across IPRC cards in local and remote programming modes. Moving an
MGCP gateway and endpoints is allowed only when all of the MGCP Endpoints are selected
along with the associated MGCP Gateway.
IP Connection
3.151 The IP Connection field provides a link to the IPRC’s IP connection (see page 6-172 for
details). You must assign a unique extension (P6000-P6999) to each IP connection within the
private network. The available range is P6000 to P6999. Whenever the system creates an IP
connection, the system broadcasts the new IP connection’s extension to the other nodes as a
database update, and the new IP connection’s extension becomes an off-node device on the
other nodes (provided the remote node does not block the database change such as when a DB
Programming session is active on the remote node).
NOTE: Programming the IP connection does not automatically configure the IPRC for use by
the network. You must manually program networking parameters locally as well as on each
remote node (see page 6-176).
Description
3.152 This field provides a description for the IPRC. Enter the description, up to 20 characters
long, in the text box. Then press
ENTER or click on another field to accept the value.
