Voice Processing Software Installation
NOTE: If necessary, you can select CANCEL from any setup window to exit without
performing the installation. Also, during the file installation process, pressing ESC exits
the setup program without completing the installation.

A Welcome screen appears. Select Next to begin the installation. If the software has
been installed before, you are asked to stop the Avdap service.
9. For a new installation, a Select Destination Directory window asks you for the desired
destination directory name. If the software has been installed before, the previous direc-
tory is the default value (default is C:\AVDAP or D:\AVDAP, depending on the factory
configuration of your Voice Processing PC). To use the default drive and directory
name, select
Next. To select another drive and/or directory, select Browse and follow
the displayed instructions.
10. If you are re-installing software, you are allowed to select which components you want
to re-install.
11. The Ready To Install screen appears. Select Next to continue.
12. A Voice Board Driver screen appears. Select Next to continue.
13. A Board Information window appears. You need to know what voice boards are
installed in your Voice Processing PC.
a. To add a board, select Add. Then choose the appropriate model from the list. The
model depends on number of ports. For example, use RDSP/4000 for four ports,
RDSP/8000 for eight ports, RDSP/24000 for 24 ports, etc.
b. Set the Address to 300 (default) for the first board in the PC. Use 308 for the sec-
ond board and
310 for the third board.
c. To change the Address, highlight the board and select Edit.
d. To remove a board, highlight it and select Remove.
14. Select Next to continue.
15. An Interrupt Request (IRQ) window appears. Make sure the IRQ Value is set to 5
(default). Then select Next to continue.
16. A Shared Memory Address window appears. Make sure the shared memory address is
set to
0xD0000 (default). Then select Next to continue.
17. An Advanced Options window appears. Select Advanced Options. In the Save Driver
settings, make sure
No is selected. Then select Next to continue.
18. In the next screen, select Finish to continue.
19. Another screen asks how many FAX ports the system has. Select the correct number
and then
OK.
20. A window appears stating that Voice Processing software has been successfully
installed. Select
Finish to continue.
21. A window appears informing you that you must restart the system to complete the
installation. Select
OK.
22. To install the Japanese voice prompts (if desired), remove the Applications Software
Disk and insert the Japanese Prompts Disk 1 of 3. Select
Start and then Run. Enter
a:pmtsetup and press
ENTER. Then follow the installation instructions displayed on
the monitor.
NOTE: If Japanese language prompts are not installed, yet a user attempts to access
them, English prompts are delivered instead.
