15.2 The Internet Protocol Card (IPC) supports a combination of up to eight IP PhonePlus,
IP SoftPhone, Model 8660 Phone, or IP Single-Line Adapter (SLA) ports to provide voice-
over-IP functionality on Inter-Tel systems. The v1.x firmware device Internet Protocol
Resource Card (IPRC) supports a combination of up to 16 IP Phone Plus, IP SoftPhone, Model
8660 Phone, or IP SLA ports or IP trunks (via MGCP). The v8.1 and 9.0.0 firmware IPRC sup-
ports up to 32 IP PhonePlus, Model 8660 Phone, multi-protocol phone, Model 8602 IP soft-
phone, or IP SLA ports or IP trunks. (The daughter card is required for the additional 16 ports.)
The IPC uses a 10Base-T Ethernet interface to the stations and an RS-232 interface for diag-
nostics and programming. The IPRC uses a 10/100Base-T Ethernet interface to the stations and
an RS-232 interface for diagnostics and programming. For details, see the IP Devices Installa-
tion Manual (version 1.3 or later).
NOTE: The v8.1 and 9.0.0 firmware IPRC does not support the IP SoftPhone.
E. DIRECT STATION SELECTION/BUSY LAMP FIELD (DSS/BLF) UNIT FEATURES
•∗ Up to 20 total units per system (e.g., five Executive Display, Professional Display,
Standard Display, Associate Display, Model 8520, or Model 8560 Phones equipped
with four units each)
• Each Executone IDS phone can support up to three 48-key DSS consoles
• Each single unit has either 48, 50, or 60 buttons with LED indicators for one-button
access to extension numbers/features (the LEDs show the status of the assigned sta-
tions, hunt groups, or other resources)
• Up to 20 keymaps for DSS/BLF Units and 30 keymaps for IDS DSS Consoles for
determining the layout and numbers accessed by the buttons
NOTE: The Associated and Professional Display Phones, Executone IDS phone, and IDS
DSS Consoles are supported by U.S. software only.
F. MINI-DIRECT STATION SELECTION (DSS) UNIT FEATURES
• Number of units per system depends on the number of Model 8560, 8520, or 8660
Phones and circuits available
• Each single unit has 16 buttons with LED indicators for one-button access to up to 16
extension numbers/features (the LEDs show the status of the assigned stations, hunt
groups, or other resources)
• Keymap, which is included as part of the Model 8660/8560/8520 Phone keymap, for
determining the layout and numbers accessed by the buttons
NOTE: Version 7.0 and later software is required to use the Mini-DSS Unit.
G. ATTENDANT FEATURES
• Accessed by dialing 0 at the stations they serve
• Central operator for incoming calls
• Message center
