FEATURES
5
10.64 The following programming is required to use the DID feature:
1. Make sure the Advanced CO Interfaces premium feature is licensed (see page 6-97 in
PROGRAMMING).
2. If installing DID on a T1 or T1/E1 card, do the following:
a. Install and configure a T1 Card, as described on page 6-126 (System Configura-
tion) in PROGRAMMING. Configure the appropriate circuits as “DID” and assign
extension numbers to the trunks. (If using an E&M trunk, see the instructions on
page 5-66.)
b. Program the T1 Card as required. See page 6-126 (T1 Programming) in PRO-
GRAMMING.
3. If installing DID using a Single-Line Adapter (SLA), do the following:
a. Install the SLA on a keyset card circuit and configure the card, as described on
page 6-118 (System Configuration) in PROGRAMMING.
b. Program the station circuit as required. See page 6-200 (Individual Station Pro-
gramming) in PROGRAMMING.
4. Program the individual trunks. See page 6-244 (Individual Trunk Programming).
5. Create a trunk group that contains the DID trunks. Program the trunk group to ring in to
a Call Routing Table. (Note the Call Routing Table number. It is programmed in step 6.)
If there are only DID trunks in the trunk group, or the trunks are used only for incoming
calls, you can flag the trunk groups as “Incoming Only.” See page 6-236 (Trunk
Groups) in PROGRAMMING.
6. Program a Call Routing Table to be used by the DID trunk group. See page 6-319 (Call
Routing Tables) in PROGRAMMING. Also see page 5-89 for more information regard-
ing Call Routing Tables. Set up the table using the DID numbers to match the program-
ming performed in step 4.
7. Enable call information for phone displays. See Caller ID [CLIP] on the next page for
more information.
8. Because DTMF receivers are required to receive DID and ANI information, you should
enable additional receivers in OPC programming (see page 6-117 in PROGRAM-
MING).
