console(config)#isdp advertise-v2
isdp enable
The isdp enable command enables ISDP on the switch. User the “no” form of this command to
disable ISDP. Use this command in global configuration mode to enable the ISDP function on
the switch. Use this command in interface mode to enable sending ISDP packets on a specific
interface.
Syntax
isdp enable
no isdp enable
Default Configuration
ISDP is enabled.
Command Mode
Global Configuration mode.
Interface (Ethernet) configuration mode.
User Guidelines
There are no user guidelines for this command.
Example
The following example enables isdp on interface 1/g1.
console(config)#interface ethernet 1/g1
console(config-if-1/g1)#isdp enable
isdp holdtime
The isdp holdtime command configures the hold time for ISDP packets that the switch
transmits. The hold time specifies how long a receiving device should store information sent in
the ISDP packet before discarding it. The range is given in seconds. Use the “no” form of this
command to reset the holdtime to the default.
