Syntax
clear ip ospf [ { configuration | redistribution | counters | neighbor [ interface vlan
vlan id
[
neighbor id

configuration
— Reset the OSPF configuration to factory defaults.
•
redistribution
— Flush all self-originated external LSAs. Reapply the redistribution
configuration and re originate prefixes as necessary.
•
counters
— Reset global and interface statistics.
•
neighbor
— Drop the adjacency with all OSPF neighbors. On each neighbor's interface, send
a one-way hello. Adjacencies may then be reestablished.
•
interface vlan
vlan-id
— Drop adjacency with all neighbors on a specific interface.
•
neighbor-id
— Drop adjacency with a specific router ID on a specific interface.

The following example shows the options for the clear ip ospf command.

configuration Restore OSPF configuration to defaults
counters Clear OSPF counters
neighbor Bounce all OSPF neighbors
redistribution Flush and reoriginate external LSAs
default-information originate
Use the default-information originate command in Router OSPF Configuration mode to
control the advertisement of default routes. Use the no form of the command to return the
default route advertisement settings to the default value.
