998 Serviceability Tracing Packet Commands
Syntax
debug ip pimdm packet [ receive | transmit ]
no debug ip pimdm packet [ receive | transmit ]
Default Configuration
Display of PIMDM traces is disabled by default.

Privileged EXEC mode.
User Guidelines
There are no usage guidelines for this command.
Example
console#debug ip pimdm packet
debug ip pimsm
Use the debug ip pimsm command to trace PIMSM packet reception and transmission. The 
receive option traces only received PIMSM packets and the transmit option traces only 
transmitted PIMSM packets. When neither keyword is used in the command, then all PIMSM 
packet traces are dumped. Vital information such as source address, destination address, control 
packet type, packet length, and the interface on which the packet is received or transmitted is 
displayed on the console. Use the “no” form of this command to disable PIMSM tracing.
