traffic-shape
Use the traffic-shape command in Global Configuration mode and Interface Configuration
mode to specify the maximum transmission bandwidth limit for the interface as a whole. This
process, also known as
rate shaping
, has the effect of smoothing temporary traffic bursts over
time so that the transmitted traffic rate is bounded. To restore the default interface shaping rate
value, use the no form of this command.
