Using the CLI 125
Starting the CLI
To begin running the CLI, perform the following steps:
NOTE: This procedure is for use on the console line only.
NOTE: The Easy Setup Wizard is available only when the system is in default state with no user
configuration saved previously.
1.
Start the switch and wait until the startup procedure is complete and the User EXEC mode is
entered. The prompt
console>
is displayed.
2.
Configure the switch using the Easy Setup Wizard and enter the necessary commands to
complete the required tasks.
3.
When finished, exit the session with the
quit
or
exit
command.
Port Channel From Global
Configuration mode,
use the interface port-
channel command.
console (config-if-
chn)#
To exit to Global
Configuration
mode, use the exit
command, or
<Ctrl>+<Z> to
Privileged EXEC
mode.
VLAN From Global
Configuration mode,
use the interface vlan
command.
console(config-if-
vlann)#
To exit to Global
Configuration
mode, use the exit
command, or press
<Ctrl>+<Z> to
Privileged EXEC
mode.
Tunnel From Global
Configuration mode,
use the interface tunnel
command.
console(config-

To exit to Global
Configuration
mode, use the exit
command, or press
<Ctrl>+<Z> to
Privileged EXEC
mode.
Loopback From Global
configuration mode, use
the interface loopback
command.
