Use the ipv6 pimsm rp-candidate command to configure the router to advertise itself as a PIM 
candidate rendezvous point (RP) to the bootstrap router (BSR). Use the "no" form of this 
command to disable the router from advertising itself as a PIM candidate rendezvous point (RP) 
to the bootstrap router (BSR). 
Syntax
ipv6 pimsm rp-candidate vlan 
vlan-id group-address/prefixlength
no ipv6 pimsm rp-candidate vlan 
vlan-id
• vlan-id—A valid VLAN ID value.
• group-address—The group address to display.
• prefixlength—This parameter specifies the prefix length of the IP address for the media 
gateway. (Range: 1–32)
Default Configuration
The router does not advertise itself as a PIM candidate rendezvous point by default.
