Field Description
Port The port number.
Admin mode The port admin mode. Possible values are: Force-auth, Force-unauth,
Auto, and mac-based.
Oper mode The control mode under which this port is operating. Possible values are:
Authorized or Unauthorized.
Reauth Control Indicates whether re-authentication is enabled on this port.
Reauth Period The timer used by the authenticator state machine on this port to
determine when reauthentication of the supplicant takes place. The
value is expressed in seconds and will be in the range of 1 and 65535.
Username The username representing the identity of the Supplicant. This field
shows the username when the port control is auto or mac-based. If the
port is Authorized, it shows the username of the current user. If the port
is unauthorized it shows the last user that was authenticated
successfully.
Quiet period The number of seconds that the switch remains in the quiet state
following a failed authentication exchange (for example, the client
provided an invalid password).
Transmit period The number of seconds that the switch waits for a response to an
Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP)-request/identity frame from
the client before resending the request.
Maximum Requests The maximum number of times that the switch sends an Extensible
Authentication Protocol (EAP)-request frame (assuming that no
response is received) to the client before restarting the authentication
process.
Max Users The maximum number of clients that can get authenticated on the port
in the MAC-based dot1x authentication mode.
VLAN Assigned The VLAN assigned to the client by the radius server. When VLAN
assignments are disabled, RADIUS server does not assign any VLAN to
the port, and this field is blank.
Supplicant Timeout The timer used by the authenticator state machine on this port to
timeout the supplicant. The value is expressed in seconds and will be in
the range of 1 and 65535.
Server timeout Time in seconds the switch waits for a response from the authentication
server before resending the request.
Authenticator PAE State Current state of the authenticator PAE state machine. Possible values
are Initialize, Disconnected, Connecting, Authenticating,
Authenticated, Aborting, Held, ForceAuthorized, and
ForceUnauthorized.
