User Guidelines
This command has no user guidelines.
Example
The following example enables periodic re-authentication of the client.
console(config)# interface ethernet 1/g16
console(config-if-1/g16)# dot1x re-authentication
dot1x system-auth-control
Use the dot1x system-auth-control command in Global Configuration mode to enable 802.1X
globally. To disable 802.1X globally, use the no form of this command.
Syntax
dot1x system-auth-control
no dot1x system-auth-control
Default Configuration
The default for this command is disabled.

This command has no user guidelines.
Example
The following example enables 802.1X globally.
console(config)# dot1x system-auth-control
dot1x timeout quiet-period
Use the dot1x timeout quiet-period command in Interface Configuration mode to set the
number of seconds that the switch remains in the quiet state following a failed authentication
exchange (for example, the client provided an invalid password). To return to the default
setting, use the no form of this command.
