Example
The following example configures 1/g8 to discard untagged frames at ingress.
console(config)#interface ethernet 1/g8
console(config-if-1/g8)#switchport general acceptable-frame-type
tagged-only
switchport general allowed vlan
Use the switchport general allowed vlan command in Interface Configuration mode to add
VLANs to or remove VLANs from a general port.
Syntax
switchport general allowed vlan add
vlan-list
[tagged|untagged]
switchport general allowed vlan remove
vlan-list
add
vlan-list
— List of VLAN IDs to add. Separate nonconsecutive VLAN IDs with a comma
and no spaces. Use a hyphen to designate a range of IDs.
remove
vlan-list
— List of VLAN IDs to remove. Separate nonconsecutive VLAN IDs with a
comma and no spaces. Use a hyphen to designate a range of IDs.
tagged
— Sets the port to transmit tagged packets for the VLANs. If the port is added to a
VLAN without specifying tagged or untagged, the default is untagged.
untagged
— Sets the port to transmit untagged packets for the VLANs.
Default Configuration
Untagged.
