514 VLAN Commands
switchport trunk allowed vlan
Use the switchport trunk allowed vlan command in Interface Configuration mode to add
VLANs to or remove VLANs from a trunk port.
Syntax
switchport trunk allowed vlan {add
vlan-list
|remove
vlan-list
}
add
vlan-list
List of VLAN IDs to add. Separate non-consecutive VLAN IDs with a comma
and no spaces. Use a hyphen to designate a range of IDs.
remove
vlan-list
— List of VLAN IDs to remove. Separate non-consecutive VLAN IDs with a
comma and no spaces. Use a hyphen to designate a range of IDs.

Example
The following example shows how to add VLANs 1, 2, and 5 to 8 to the allowed list.
console(config-if-1/g8)#switchport trunk allowed vlan add 1,2,5-8

Use the vlan command in VLAN Database mode to configure a VLAN. To delete a VLAN, use
the no form of this command.
Syntax
vlan
vlan-range
no vlan
vlan-range
vlan-range
— A list of valid VLAN IDs to be added. List separate, non-consecutive VLAN IDs
separated by commas (without spaces); use a hyphen to designate a range of IDs. (Range:
2–4093)
